Forum Landtag is a transformation project that reimagines the existing visitor center of the Parliament of Lower Austria in Sankt Pölten as a contemporary space for education, dialogue, and encounter, located just half an hour from Vienna.
At the new Forum Landtag, visitors explore themes of democracy, politics, and society through an immersive exhibition. Interactive installations and flowing forms create a dynamic environment shaped by movement and light. Softly reflective aluminum walls capture the visitors’ reflections, allowing their presence to become part of the layered experience of political representation.
The redesigned entrance area creates a clear and welcoming gateway to the visitor center while also serving as a meeting place and inviting space to linger for both visitors and passersby.
Studio MAKS won the competition for the project in 2020. Forum Landtag was completed in 2022 and received a Red Dot Award in 2023.
